Joel W. Young - Fredericksburg & Occoquan
Joel Young joined the Law Office of Kathleen Grace Walsh in February of 2025. He handles workers' compensation cases statewide. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Virginia, and holds a JD from the William & Mary School of Law. He is a frequent presenter on complex issues at workers’ compensation conferences. He enjoys serving as a Board Member and current co-chair of the Membership Committee for the Work Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG), as well as co-chair of the 2025 WILG Cherry Blossom Conference in Washington, D.C. He is a 2024 recipient of a WILG Rising Star Award. He is a recent past chair of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association Workers’ Compensation Section, as well as a current District 11 Governor to the Board of Governors for VTLA. He serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Legal Aid Works, is a member of the Lewis F. Powell, Jr., Inn of Court, and the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Inn of Court. He is active in his church, is a lifelong soccer enthusiast, and enjoys traveling with his family. He worked for Reinhardt Harper Davis PLC in the Fredericksburg office from 2012 to 2025, most recently as a Director. Prior to that, he was an Associate with the Law Offices of Wesley G. Marshall from 2010 to 2012.
